Composer Johan Tallgren will continue as artistic director of Musica nova Helsinki. The festival will be arranged next time in the beginning of February 2011.

Musica nova Helsinki 2009 finished on February 14. The theme of the festival was New York is Now. The versatile program gathered also a lot of new audiences to the events. Musica nova wants to thank everyone who made the festival happen this year.

The soloist of Neither, performed by The Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, has changed. Irish soprano Sylvia o'Brien will replace Petra Hoffman.
