This year the festival was organised on February 7-14. The festival experienced a face-lift, and the theme New York is Now attracted new, younger audiences to the events.

The total amount of festival visitors was about 6 000, and about half a million people listened to the concerts on the radio.

Musica nova Helsinki will be organised again in early February 2011. Then the festival celebrates its 30th anniversary.

The main organisers of the festival are Helsinki Festival, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Sibelius Academy and Finnish Broadcasting Company.
