Finland's largest contemporary music festival Musica nova Helsinki begins today. During the next ten days, a multifaceted series of adventures in contemporary music will take place at several venues around Helsinki.

The new music community Réseau Varèse will host a meeting at Musica nova on February 4 featuring a highly-regarded cast of speakers.

The two monodramas, "Nothing to Declare" composed by Perttu Haapanen and "Λελελε Lelele" by Lotta Wennäkoski are set to appear at several international festivals following their Helsinki premieres on February 5 (with a second staging set for Feb 7).
